Blogoversary & Giveaway: Leeswammes’ Blog Is One Year Old

The Help by Kathryn StockettRaspberry cakes

It’s the One Year Blogoversary on Leeswammes’ Blog!!

Yes, on April 17th, my blog will be one year old. And yesterday it was my birthday. Isn’t that a good reason for a giveaway?

First some stats

In one year, I wrote 430 posts and had more than 45,000 page views.

265 people liked my blog enough to subscribe. Thanks for your support!

My first book review was The Help and my first food related post was about raspberry cakes.

I took part in several read-a-thons and two bloggiestas.

I created the following features:

So, there’s been a lot of activity on Leeswammes’ Blog! I’m planning to keep posting at least one post a day and about 3 reviews per week. If you’re not subscribed yet, but you do like my blog, please click the Email or RSS button to keep up-to-date with this blog.

The Giveaway

The rules:

  1. Anyone can enter. You do not need to have a blog and the giveaway is international.
  2. Leave a comment below this post to say which book you’d like to win. Fill out your email address where it asks you to. This will not be shown in your published comment.
  3. You do not have to be a follower or become a follower, although if you like my blog I hope you will! You can follow by email or by RSS (see buttons in the side bar on the right).
  4. If you’d like to twitter about this giveaway, that would be so nice! You’ll get one extra entry if you do. Add the tweet link (click on X minutes ago under the tweet) to your comment. You can get a total of two entries for this giveaway.
  5. You can enter the giveaway until Wednesday, April 20th. I will draw a winner when I open my computer on Thursday April, 21st.
  6. The first winner will get the book they chose. If the second winner chose the same book, I will get in contact with them for their second choice.
  7. I will notify the winners by email. The winners need to answer my email within 3 days, or I’ll announce a new winner.
  8. I cannot be held responsible for books going missing in the post. However, I’d appreciate if the winners could let me know the book arrived safely.
  9. That’s it! Good luck and thanks for playing.

And so we go forward to another year on Leeswammes’ Blog!

  33. elma says:

At first I looked up Water for Elephants and something about the title sounded familiar – I discovered I have an unread copy in my box of recently acquired 2nd hand hardbacks… so at least I’ve sorted out my next read now. Back to your list. Ach, I don’t really need any more books in my pile, in fact I’d like to offer to come and bring you anything you fancy from my own ‘to give away’ box… See recent Boekgrrl mails from me for titels.
Your blogoversary has reminded me of my own First Birthday Blog last year – if you click on this link you can see the cake (have a piece if you like). For a running blog it does mention quite a lot of books…

    • Leeswammes says:

Hey, Elma. Thanks for stopping by! A cake for your blogoversary, that’s brilliant. I didn’t have one…. yet. But I’ll have some of yours, if it’s not too stale.

I don’t remember seeing your list (very curious, and would love some new books as I’m running low {cough}), and, although this may not be the place for it, I did recently think it would be great to have another book swap. In fact, I may have one with my local book group and invite the bookgrrls too, or we could invade someone else’s house – I’m open for either!

  34. Diana says:

Congratulations on your blogoversary! I would like to win The Bed I Made by Lucie Whitehouse. Thanks for the giveaway!
