*****

I finished 2 books in the last week

Return to Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux. A light reading, sequel to The Summer House, which I enjoyed a lot. Three women that didn’t know each other beforehand, meet up in a house and discuss their lives. 4 stars

Taboo by Casey Hill. An American forensic specialist is newly heading a team in Dublin, Ireland. A serial killer is on the loose leaving clues. Well-paced, good story. 5 stars.

Currently Reading

Black Swan Rising by Lee Carroll. A young woman is given an antique box by a man. When she opens it, she unleashes some nasty creatures that threaten to take over the world. Garet (the woman) has to stop it all. Looks like a 4 star book so far.

I wrote a review of

Bonita Avenue by Peter Buwalda. It’s a Dutch book, not translated. 4 stars

One Day by David Nicholls. Over a period of twenty years, the book describes one day in July for every year. The lives of the two main characters Emma and Dexter are thus followed through two decades. 5 stars

Sounds interesting, Parrish! I love Japanese books and stories, I just never seem to get round to them at the moment. But I’ve got 1Q84 very high on my reading list.🙂

  2. One Day and Taboo all in one week! I’ve heard wonderful things about them both though!

Hope you have a fabulous reading week and if you get a second stop by to see what I’ve been reading at There’s A Book!🙂

  3. Mystica says:

Bonita Avenue is new to me.

  4. Nadine Nys says:

I don’t know any of these books, Judith, but they all seem great reads… I could put them all on my TBR-list, I guess.

  5. dixie says:

Taboo sounds right up my alley! I’ll have to add it to my list. Have a great week!

  6. Pussreboots says:

Three-quarters of what I read this week was in the form of children’s picture books. Please come see what they were.

  7. I read a Jude Deveraux novel recently, too. She writes such fun books.

I love comments! Let me know what you think.
