My Giveaway

There will be one winner who can choose one book from these four very different books:

A Land More Kind Than Home by Wiley CashReady Player One by Ernest ClineThe First Book of Calamity Leek by Paula LichtarowiczThe Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling

Click on the titles to read my reviews.

A Land More Kind Than Home by Wiley Cash. A dodgy church holds a healing session for a boy. But things go wrong. 5 stars

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Access to a lot of money is hidden within a large computer system. An 18-year old boy who spends most of his time online tries to find clues to where the money is. 5 stars

The First Book of Calamity Leek by Paula Lichtarowicz. Brilliant but strange story about a girl who lives in a kind of farm with her 12 “sisters”. Outside the wall are injuns and demonmales. It takes a long time before you know what’s going on. Is this historical or modern fiction, fantasy or post-apocalyptic SF? You need to read it to find out. 5 stars.

The Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling. A death in the parish council leaves a small town in search for a new candidate. Many people get involved. 5 stars

Literary Blog Hop November

Welcome!

Welcome to the Literary Giveaway Blog Hop!

The Literary Giveaway Blog Hop is hosted by me, Leeswammes. My Giveaway

A Father's Son by Richard HarrisAs part of the blog hop my giveaway is A Father’s Son by Richard Harris, which is a book I really enjoyed reading recently. Check my review HERE.

The author himself is offering two books to anywhere in the world.

So, two chances to win this book!

This is a very good coming of age story about a boy who is more or less alone in the world. He’s got a mother – in prison, and a father – who tries hard, but fails to care properly for his son. His best friend’s mother is like a second mother for him, and when things get tough, he spends time at their house.

Things don’t go well for Justin and he just about hangs in there, having to do several things way outside his comfort zone.
