Literary Giveaway Blog Hop

Welcome!

Welcome to the Literary Giveaway Blog Hop!

The Literary Giveaway Blog Hop is hosted by me, Leeswammes. Between now and Wednesday, February 22nd, you can hop to over 50 different book blogs, all offering one or more giveaways of books or bookish items. All books will be literary (non)fiction or something close to that. Follow the links at the bottom of this post to find the other participating blogs.

My Giveaway

As part of the blog hop I will be giving away 2 books, which are open for worldwide entries. Both books will be sent directly from the publishers who generously agreed to provide the books and to send them world-wide. A big thank you to Regina from Harper Perennial and to Kimberley from William Morrow.

Two lucky winners can choose between these books:

Agorafabulous by Sara BenincasaThis Beautiful Life by Helen Schulman

Book1:  Agorafabulous by Sara Benincasa. This is a memoir about Sara, a stand-up comedian, who suffered from agoraphobia and anxiety attacks for many years. Read my review for more information.

Book2: This Beautiful Life by Helen Schulman. This is a fictional story of a family in turmoil when their teenage son forwards a sexually explicit video showing a girl from his school to his friends. Read my review for more information.

You can enter for one or both of the books. To enter, please read the rules and then fill in the form below.

  6. Rikki says:

Thanks for hosting this hop again, Judith.

  7. heavenali says:

Thank you for hosting this blog hop – I have been looking at lots of different blogs this morning because of it.
I am not entering your give away as I entered one of the others – but I am so impressed with this blog hop – I had never heard of it before. I was buried invisibly on LiveJournal for years only very recently transferred to wordpress – where I am slowly getting to know other great book blogs. : )

    • Leeswammes says:

Hi Heavenall, nice to hear from you. It’s great that you’re joining in the fun. You can enter as many giveaways as you like.

I enjoy book blogging especially because of the great community of bloggers and readers and it’s good to hear that you’re no longer buried away.

      • heavenali says:

I too like book blogging for that reason : ) I love sharing my obsession of books too : )
I would be interested in joining the blog hop in the future – too if there are ever any spaces though not sure I have technical know how – to post links to all other blogs. As a bookcrosser I already give books away – so it’s something I am happy to do. I would choose a couple of my favourite reads for that month and buy copies of them to give away. Such a cool thing to do.

  8. BryOak says:

PS) How do I, and my lowly little Book Blog, get to be part of this fantastic opportunity to giveaway our favourite books to like-minded readers??

    • Leeswammes says:

ByrOak, if you and your book blog would like to join the giveaway hop, I can add you to the bottom of the linky list once I’ve got the information from you that your giveaway is online. I will be going out soon, though, so can’t add you straight away.

  9. BryOak says:

PPS) Hey! Where di my first posting go re which book I would pleas like etc etc???

    • Leeswammes says:

Hi BryOak, your comment was on moderation so I had to approve it before it comes visible. Your book choice (for my giveaway) was in a form, which has been processed and I can see your entry in my spreadsheet now so all is well.

  10. bibliosue says:

Great books! My fingers are crossed for some bookish luck…..

  11. mpartyka says:

Thank you for organizing this hop. I’m sure it’s a lot of work (to make it as successful as it is).

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  12. Evie says:

Thanks a lot for the giveaway!

  13. What a great list of participants.. I’d love a chance to win This Beautiful Life. Thanks for hosting!

  14. Stephanie says:

Awesome! Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway that connects plenty of wonderful bloggers. I’m excited to check out the others.

    • Leeswammes says:

That’s right, Stephanie. Not only is this blog hop a great way to try and win a nice book, it’s also ideal for finding some new bloggers that share an interest in books.

  15. Sandra K321 says:

Thanks for hosting this. I just wanted to let you know that I am getting “malicious website blocked” when I click on #50.

    • Leeswammes says:

Thanks, Sandra. In that case, I will take the link off that participant. They haven’t got a blog hop post up anyway. I didn’t get that message though – a bit scary!

  16. Lorraine S. says:

Thanks for starting this challenge. I have absolutely no idea how to “do” a blog, but I’m enjoying them, especially the ones from Great Britain. Just read you’re now in the Nederlands, not Holland as my friends call it . I lived in Germany two tours of 4 years each. I really miss Europe.
Looking forward to following your blog.

    • Leeswammes says:

Lorraine, thanks for your comment. Yes, we call it The Netherlands. Holland is just the Western part of the country, but that’s what the country is known by. 😦

Hopefully you can visit Europe again some time – have you got any friends left to visit in Germany? I more or less lost most of my friends from England (where I lived 15 years) as the distance just doesn’t work. Especially when most of the friendships were built around the children.

  17. breieninpeking says:

Book 1 sounds great! I would love to win that one.

  18. Diana says:

Thank you for hosting this hop and for the giveaway!

  19. Gnoe says:

So nice that you’re hosting the giveaway again Leeswammes! Not entering though, you know why. 😉 #toomanyalready

  20. Beth DiIorio says:

    Hi,
Love your blog! I am interested in participating in your next Book Giveaway Blog Hop…it would be great fun to share some of my favorites with others. How do I go about the process of joining the bloggers who give books away? My blog address is http://www.candlebeambooks.com. Look forward to hearing from you ~
    Warmly,
    Beth

    • Leeswammes says:

Hi Beth, it would be great to have you participate in the next Giveaway Blog Hop. The easiest way is to subscribe to my blog and keep an eye out for the announcement. The next hop will be in June. I may email interested people (like you) nearer the time, if I remember!
