Welcome!

Welcome to the Literary Giveaway Blog Hop!

The Literary Giveaway Blog Hop is hosted by me, Leeswammes. Between now and Wednesday, June 29th, you can hop to over 70 different book blogs, all offering one or more giveaways of books or bookish items. All books will be literary (non)fiction or something close to that. Follow the links at the bottom of this post to find the other participating blogs.

My Giveaway

As part of the blog hop I will be giving away 2 books, which are open for worldwide entries.

Two lucky winners can choose between these books:

In Lucia’s Eyes by Arthur Japin

The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark

Neither book is new, but they are in very good condition. You can enter for one book or for both books.

About In Lucia’s Eyes: Historical Fiction by one of the leading literary fiction writers of the Netherlands. Set in 1758, a man is trying to seduce a veiled woman. She resists him, as she knows him from a long time ago. He doesn’t know who she is. Later, the man will become known as the great seducer Cassanova. The book takes place in historical Amsterdam and Venice and is a very good read!

About The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie: It’s the 1930s. Miss Brodie is a schoolmistress with a difference. Proud, cultured, romantic, her ideas are progressive, even shocking. And when she decides to transform a group of young girls under her tutelage into the ‘creme de la creme’ of Marcia Blaine school, no one could have predicted the outcome.

The rules:

  1. Anyone can enter. You do not need to have a blog.
  2. I’m sending out the books myself so the only thing you need is a post-office recognised address anywhere in the world, where you can receive packages.
  3. You do not have to be a follower or become a follower, although if you like my blog I hope you will! You can follow by email or by RSS (see buttons in the side bar on the right).
  4. Fill out the form below and select which giveaway(s) you want to enter for.
  5. You can enter the giveaways until June 29th. I will close the giveaway when I turn on my computer on June 30th (Netherlands time).
  6. Note that double or invalid entries will be removed.
  7. I will notify the winners by email. The winners need to answer my email within 3 days, or I’ll announce a new winner.
  8. That’s it! Good luck and thanks for playing.

Fill out the FORM HERE to enter.

The giveaway is now closed and the winners have been randomly chosen.

Now start blog hopping!

Now, I’m off to dinner and a weekend of book touring with novelist James Rollins. Why? That’s just how I roll, LOL. Have a great weekend of blog hopping everyone!

        Judith,

As noted above, I was busy touring with Jimbo all weekend, but I was constantly checking the action on the blog. This was–without question–the busiest weekend I’ve ever had. It was so exciting! I’ve picked up a dozen new followers, and finally I’ve got a good robust crowd for a good book giveaway. I seriously can’t thank you enough, Judith. Please count me in for future blog hops!

And now that I’m finally back in front of a computer, I can’t wait to check out all the other blogs. I hope you are having as much fun with this, Judith, as we all are. 🙂

        Best,

        Susan

Great event you’ve organised here! Now I have to catch up on my feeds as I don’t know how many I’ve added to my reader with this blog hop…
By the way, I have something to confess: I failed! I didn’t managed to finish my special book before my birthday. Shame on me! I shouldn’t have picked up a collection of short stories.

    • Leeswammes says:

Em, si glad you had a good time hopping. Worse is to come: you may win a book and read that instead of studying!

Uh-oh! Still not finished your book! That’s bad. I did finish the book I said I would finish – only just in time, though.
